Bird watching Tours in Skyros
The first group was organized with visitors coming from Great Britain, accompanied by external project partners and experts in creating ecotourism routes by the owner Phil Knott. The team visited Skyros on the 27th of April till the 4th of May. Falcons, seabirds, herons, little egrets, Black-winged Stilt, kestrels, bee and sparrows are some of the many species recorded. Mostly moved in Rough and wetlands in Mooring, wetland Kalamitsa and in Southern Skyros.
The guests left with the best impressions on both the species observed as well as an excellent impression of the island Skyros and wished it to remain and to preserve the natural wealth as an important ecotourism destination setting ornithological tourism in Skyros as the neighbouring island of Lesvos, where the species are much greater, each year welcomes close to three thousand birdwatchers.
